Lunar New Year at Pretend City Children’s Museum
Feb. 5, 2019, 11 a.m. — 3 p.m.
Also known as the Spring Festival, the Lunar New Year comes to life at the Pretend City Children’s Museum through a series of educational and fun activities designed just for kids. Enjoy lantern making in the the Art Studio as kids cut, color, and decorate their own paper lanterns. Participate in a storytime reading of Bringing in the New Year, and experiment with the ancient art of Chinese calligraphy taught with the help of the Irvine Chinese School.

Lunar New Year at Irvine Spectrum
Feb. 10, 2019, 12 p.m. — 2 p.m.
Irvine’s premier outdoor shopping mall, Irvine Spectrum, will get festive on Sunday, Feb. 10 during its Year of the Pig celebration. Taking place in the Giant Wheel courtyard, festivities will include Chinese dragon and lion dances, arts and crafts, and greeters distributing fortune cookies and lucky envelopes, while supplies last.

Lunar New Year for Kids at Pacific Symphony Orchestra

Join Pacific Symphony for a special fun-filled Lunar New Year concert celebrating the Year of the Pig! Explore the legends and stories through a musical feast of Eastern and Western music as you celebrate this joyous annual festival observed by many Asian cultures here in Orange County and across the world! Chinese New Year Festival at Bowers Museum

Lunar New Year Celebration at Disney California Adventure

The Magic Kingdom is rolling out the red carpet this Lunar New Year with a full calendar of activities designed for family fun.
